    This is a first public release of RasterBook. Your feedback is highly appreciated.

    I think it would be a good idea to be able to set the destination directory in RasterBook before the book is made. Took a while for me to find the pics ;-)

    Other I am really happy with this. I am currently using this app for my Cowon D2.

    I would love to use this product, but whenever I run the Rasterbook.exe on an html file, it ends up being totally black.

     Link Here

     What am I doing incorrectly?

    The header is

    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
        "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <link rel="schema.DC" href="http://purl.org/DC/elements/1.0/" />
    </head>
    <body>

    JaneL, try to remove the XHTML declaration. Start with just <html><body>...

    Hi,

    Thank you for the program. The idea is brilliant! I have a couple of problems though.

    i) Problem displaying Cyrillic text:
    1. I went to lib.ru and opened a book (http://lib.ru/PXESY/ERDMAN/samoubijca.txt). I picked a "fine HTML" view of it. If I check View -> Character Encoding, it shows Cyrillic (Windows).
    2. I then saved the book by going File -> Save As...
    3. I then ran liru_to_html.pl per script.
    4. I then started RasterBook (by just clicking an icon which calls RasterBook.exe), and opened the html file created by libru_to_html.pl script.
    5. Here's how the book looked once loaded into RasterBook *see attached screenshot). Basically it shows the page in the default western encoding and not in the windows-1251 encoding as I would like it to.
    6. Adding the meta tag at the top of the html file with the content type windows-1251 only caused all cyrillic characters to show as '?'.
    ii) Problem finding the resulting images. Where are they saved???? :)

    Thanks, Kirill

    Hi,

    this is me again, answering one of my my own questions myself.

     The images were saved (on my Vista machine) in the folder

        C:\Users\{userid}\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows\System32

     Why? Beats me...

    Thanks, Kirill

  1.
    Hi there
    I'm really looking forward to reading my ebooks, bt I'm also having a problem finding the pics when saved by Rasterbook... Mine are not in System32 as above or in MyDocs as someone else advised me.  Can anyone else help with where it autosaves to please?
    Many thanks
    Jenny
